DeSayeDI​ is not composed of retired police officers.  While retired police officers can make excellent Forensic Experts in various areas, many do not adequately explore all avenues in Criminal Defense Investigation and the prior experiences in law enforcement often create bias against Defendants charged with criminal offenses. 

INDIGENT DEFENSE

We can be retained by Attorney’s/Law Firms, Defendant’s and Defendant Representatives directly, or through various Indigent Defense agencies by appointment.  Providing Indigent Defense services is important to ensure that even those who cannot afford to pay for their own Defense still receive the best Defense possible with the utilization of the best Experts available (such as DeSayeDI).

If a Defendant is represented by the Maricopa Public Defender's Office or the Maricopa Legal Advocate's office, internal staff is utilized for investigation and mitigation and DeSayeDI cannot be retained in those situations.  If a Defendant is represented by a Court Appointed Attorney through the Maricopa County Office of Public Defense Services, DeSayeDI can be retained or appointed.  If you are unsure what agency the representing Attorney works for we are happy to explore that issue to determine if we can join the case.

We primarily work in Maricopa County but will accept case work in various other counties on a case by case basis.
